What Reticulocytes % measures

Reticulocytes are newly made red blood cells. Their share shows how actively the bone marrow is producing red cells.

If your Reticulocytes % is low

Fewer reticulocytes than the range means the marrow is producing red cells slowly, commonly associated with low iron, B12 or folate, kidney function or marrow suppression.
