If your Prothrombin Time is low
A shorter prothrombin time is rarely notable.
If your Prothrombin Time is high
A longer prothrombin time means blood takes longer to clot through one pathway; it is expected on warfarin and otherwise commonly associated with liver function or vitamin K.
